STEP 01

1 · Entry

Send the vehicle details and photographs. We tell you within two business days whether it fits a sale and roughly where it should sit.

STEP 02

2 · Intake

Deliver the vehicle by the Monday before the sale. It is photographed and inspected here — a consignor-supplied condition report is not used in place of ours.

STEP 03

3 · Reserve

You set a reserve, or you run without one. We will tell you what we think the room will do, and the number is still yours.

STEP 04

4 · Catalogue

The lot goes onto the run list with its number, lane, condition report and announcement sheet, usually eight days before the sale.

STEP 05

5 · Sale day

The vehicle crosses under its light. If it sells, you are notified the same day.

STEP 06

6 · Settlement

Funds are released once the buyer has paid in full and the title has been recorded.

In our words

Why it is built this way

A reserve is a floor. Set it too high and the car goes home with a no-sale on its record; set it low and you are exposed to whoever turns up. Both are legitimate positions and the decision is the consignor's.

We publish no-sales alongside sales in the results. A consignor who wants an outcome hidden is asking for something we do not do, because a results page that only shows the wins is not a results page.

Every figure on this page is illustrative sample data for a design demonstration.

What this department does not do

  • We do not buy vehicles for our own account and we do not bid on lots in our own sales.
  • We do not take a vehicle without a title or a documented route to one.
  • We will decline a consignment rather than run it under a description we cannot support.

Gate slip · what this site stores

Crossblock is a design demonstration. It sets no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies, because there are none to set. If you accept, four preferences are kept in this browser's localStorage: your theme, your paint chip, your cabin controls and the fact that you answered this. Decline and nothing is written — the site still works, it just forgets your choices when you leave.
